Fat Possum Records knows how to pick them.  Andrew Bird's work is simultaneously entrancing and stirring.  Violin, whistling, and glockenspiel accompany his lyrically-rich melodies.  It doesn't matter that its been 5 years since he put out this album; it will pluck at heartstrings forever.

An homage to favorite photographers

Robert and Shana Parkeharrison are a couple who collaborate in digitally modified photography.  Their work focuses on humanity's relationship to nature.  Everytime I go back to these photos my heartstrings are tugged.
